My partner tested negative for COVID-19, so we can see each other this weekend! I’m so happy! I ran out and stuffed the fridge full of food (it’s his turn to visit me). The weather is supposed to be awful, but some things are opening up from COVID restrictions before Christmas. We can go to the climbing gym, or there’s a light show in a city nearby with films projected on buildings outside at night. We can stay in bed, or watch movies. And sleep. I’ve been so stressed out that I haven’t been sleeping so well, but I always sleep better with him.
This is going to be my mantra: negative is positive. Try to think of all the the things that are negative that are actually really good. My step-mother is not dead. My sister, nephew and I do not have COVID-19, and have not lost our jobs. None of us have cancer (that I know about). My partner is not a jerk. My students are not stupid. It’s not so cold yet. It’s not far away from the solstice, and the days will get longer. My apartment is not cold. I don’t have big money worries at the moment. I don’t have as much work to do as a few weeks ago. I don’t have to set an alarm to wake up Thursday this week.
And Foro is not going to be anything but adorable any time soon….
