We are beginning the nice part of the voyage, when everyone else has started to go home (because kids are back in school) but we remain. A woman I met called it the gray trade. We aren’t retired yet, but we’re both pretty gray so it fits.
We’re going to try climbing in the Brenta Dolomites next. I’m happy to go back there. I’ve hiked in that area but never climbed, and they are beautiful. Hope the weather holds.
Prices are also relaxing a bit. All of Italy is on vacation in August (except those working in the tourist trade), and hotels were full and campgrounds overcrowded. It should be better now.
Not sure whether to take Foro with us up in the cabin. He might be better as a watch cow for the car!
