The Burka Effect

There is a burka effect in winter for humans.  How many times have we been approached:  “Hello!” they say, then seeing who it is under the scarves and hat, realize we are not who they think we are.  We seem to have doubles, everywhere, because we are reduced to our ski caps and winter coats. That is one of the reasons for clothing: to show that we are different, that we are ourselves and not someone else.  The antithesis is uniforms and burkas.  Uniforms are for prisoners, soldiers; burkas for societies where a woman’s individuality is threatening.

What does a cow have to hide?  Nothing, of course.  Foro attracts you with only his eyes.  The tiny stitches wink at you, and you know you are special.
