Hope Springs Eternal

It’s been raining here. And raining. And raining. We’ve had flooding, landslides, bridges destroyed, villages cut off. When it’s sunny, I look up with distrust. It’s been nice that it hasn’t gotten that hot. It’s also been not so nice because no one feels like it’s summer. The snails are loving it. The slugs are loving it. The mountain birds went up to their summer spots (the choughs) but they came back down again. I stuck my tongue out at them (you never should have left us). It may stop raining some day. We can always hope.

It’s great for napping, though. Today I woke up and was productive for the whole morning, then the couch was calling… Now it’s thundering outside. So I made a cup of coffee and decided to watch the rain for a while on my balcony, computer on my lap, listening to the cow bells.

I have a project for “spring cleaning” (which doesn’t really count because it’s officially summer now), which basically only means sliding out the bed and the couch and vacuuming under there for once. That’s still on the menu for today. Once I can tear my eyes away from the spectacle in front of me.

Rain over there, rain over here
Foro and coffee= happiness
