Heat on a Day Off

Foro and I had a nice day trying to avoid the heat. I woke up just a bit before the sun rose, and realized that if I wanted to do anything outside I’d better do it early. So I walked up to a place where I’ve often picnicked and took breakfast with me. I sat for a long while and watched the view in the valley, and then headed down.

After that I tried to get a few things done, hiding inside like a vampire with the shades pulled down. Today I didn’t suffer from the heat at all, really. Tomorrow, teaching, will be another matter, and it will be hard to sleep down in the city. At least I had one day of respite, with Foro.
